A story about painting, laughter, and confidence
One Sunday afternoon at Lapangan Renon park, BeaGood gathered with the Bravesoul children — and the noise level was higher than usual. Not the kind of noise that gives you a headache, but the kind that warms your heart. Voices calling out “Kakak… kakak…!” and laughter bursting even before the event officially began.
BeaGood invited them to paint on clay pots (gerabah). Children with physical disabilities and Down syndrome came together to learn to paint on an object — and their joy needed no words. Their enthusiasm colored every stroke, especially since it was the first time many of them had ever painted with their own creative ideas.
BeaGood organized this activity to:
- Train motor skills and focus through color
- Encourage them to step bravely into a new world — the world of art — in their own way
- Celebrate every color and every small brushstroke as a victory over their limitations
Every dot of color they put down is one dot of confidence — both for the child and for the parents who believe in them despite the challenges.
If you have a child with Autism, Down syndrome, hearing impairment, physical disability, or any other condition, and you’d like them to grow and connect — you’re welcome to join BeaGood’s Bravesoul Program.
